Rolex Datejust, Oyster Perpetual
Rolex Datejust, Oyster Perpetual
About 3-4 years ago, my husband had made a reservation to buy a watch, and I vaguely remember going with him and ending up with a Datejust. It's rose gold. But it was too blingy for me, so I didn't wear it much. It felt a bit much to wear to work (we have a business casual dress code, and I'm always in casual clothes at home). I told my husband I wanted to sell it because I wasn't wearing it, but he told me to keep it because I might like the sparkle when I'm a bit older. Then my husband got a job as an expat in California, so I took a leave of absence and came here with the kids. He suggested we go to Rolex, so I just threw on jeans and a sweatshirt and walked in. My husband, who usually dresses casually, told me to try on a larger Oyster Perpetual. The salesperson suggested a pink or silver 34mm, saying it would suit me. I'm cool-toned, so I never thought pink would look good on me, but when I tried it on, it was surprisingly stunning! The navy was too flashy with the Rolex logo, which I don't like. The salesperson said it looked great on me and that while silver would be a wait, I could have the pink one right away! So, I ended up impulsively buying the pink one. Can you see how the color changes depending on the light? For those who like casual style like me, who keep their designer bags stored away (?) and prefer using Goyard bags, consider jewelry or watches instead of bags! This year's best purchases: Cartier Love Bracelet and Rolex Oyster Perpetual – highly recommended!
