About 3-4 years ago, my husband had made a reservation to buy a watch, and I vaguely remember going with him and ending up with a Datejust. It's rose gold. But it was too blingy for me, so I didn't wear it much. It felt a bit much to wear to work (we have a business casual dress code, and I'm always in casual clothes at home). I told my husband I wanted to sell it because I wasn't wearing it, but he told me to keep it because I might like the sparkle when I'm a bit older. Then my husband got a job as an expat in California, so I took a leave of absence and came here with the kids. He suggested we go to Rolex, so I just threw on jeans and a sweatshirt and walked in. My husband, who usually dresses casually, told me to try on a larger Oyster Perpetual. The salesperson suggested a pink or silver 34mm, saying it would suit me. I'm cool-toned, so I never thought pink would look good on me, but when I tried it on, it was surprisingly stunning! The navy was too flashy with the Rolex logo, which I don't like. The salesperson said it looked great on me and that while silver would be a wait, I could have the pink one right away! So, I ended up impulsively buying the pink one. Can you see how the color changes depending on the light?
