Late October, Lotte Avenuel Jamsil. Purchased for approximately KRW 12,700,000 after exchanging KRW 13,100,000 for store credit. I never had a luxury necklace before. I was always buying bags and watches, so necklaces were always a lower priority. But after having so many bags, I started noticing accessories! I took the plunge this time and bought one with the cash my husband had saved up...♡♡ Van Cleef & Arpels mother-of-pearl is common, and the guilloche was also very pretty, but in the end, it seems like the final destination for Van Cleef Alhambra is the vintage diamond. So, my first Van Cleef purchase was the vintage diamond...♡♡ I heard the wait used to be incredibly long, but we can't turn back time or prices. I'm happy to be able to take it home right away. ♡ I tried on white gold, rose gold, and yellow gold, and while white gold was the shiniest, it didn't suit my image as well (especially since white gold is so dazzling that it felt like it would draw too much attention to just the necklace?). Yellow gold was more sparkly than rose gold, and since I love gold hardware, I chose yellow gold. ㅎㅎㅎ Other accessories from brands I considered: 1. Boucheron Quatre Large + Earring Set -> KRW 15,000,000 range. Over budget, and the Quatre Large was too small even in the large size ㅜㅜㅜ The earrings were very pretty, but I passed. 2. Bulgari Divas' Dream Full Diamond -> KRW 12,000,000 range. Not much difference in price from the Van Cleef vintage diamond, but why is there such a difference in size and sparkle? I actually wanted to choose this, but I was so disappointed when I tried it on at the store. 3. Bulgari Divas' Dream Mother-of-Pearl Necklace + Earring Set. The Divas' Dream mother-of-pearl necklace and earrings are so gorgeous... I still can't get them out of my head. But mother-of-pearl can change, and I don't think I can manage mother-of-pearl well... so I passed. 4. Van Cleef & Arpels Frivole Full Diamond (Small Model) KRW 17,000,000 range. The staff recommended this after I tried on the vintage diamond, and it was so, so, so pretty!!!! The sparkle is incomparable to the vintage diamond...♡ Even though it's the small size, it's bigger than the vintage diamond. But it's over budget! You're my next dream ^^
