2024.01 Lotte Avenuel purchase / Original price KRW 5,300,000. (No price increase in the year and a half since release, possibly due to Dior's cost issues.) This bag is the Dior Toujours Medium, perfect for carrying a lot of stuff (at least, in my opinion!). It's been about ten years since big bags were in fashion and then faded away, so this is the first really large bag I've bought in a while! 😆 Mini bags were all the rage for a while, but these days it seems like people are carrying whatever they like. Actually, I bought it early last year, but only debuted it briefly in September...😅 But recently, I've been carrying this one everywhere. I have so many bags that I switch them out every two or three weeks, but somehow a year flies by... seasons pass in a flash. 🥲 Anyway, here are the pros and cons: [Pros] 1. Holds a ton of stuff. Great for throwing everything in when you're rushing in the morning! 😀 2. Being a big bag, the open-top design is super convenient. 3. It's a big bag, but it's both luxurious and elegant. 4. It has that Dior sparkle. 5. Made of calfskin, so you don't have to worry about it like lambskin, but it still has a similar shine. 6. The adjustable strap lets you wear it on your shoulder, as a tote, or on your arm. 7. It's more chic than the Small or Vertical versions. 8. The calfskin is so smooth, it's like touching a baby's bottom! 🤭 [Cons] 1. It can get heavy if you put too much in it. 2. Be prepared for things to spill out while you're driving. 3. The strap is adjustable, but even after getting used to it, lengthening the strap from the basic tote setting is a little difficult. 😤 4. You can wear it on your shoulder, as a tote, or on your arm, but! It's not very comfortable as a shoulder bag because the two-strap design is flat and doesn't sit well on your shoulder. You have to maintain a chic expression to mask the discomfort. 😂 It's like a graceful swan on the surface, but paddling furiously underneath! 🙄 So, if you carry it as a tote, the bag is big and the strap is extended, so the bag sits too low. Which leads to carrying it on your arm!! But then, because it's a big bag and I've thrown everything in, it's too heavy and my arm is sore the next day...😅🫥😔💪 5. No studs on the bottom... but even if it did have studs, considering the size...🤔 Now, here are some photos of me, a petite woman, wearing the Toujours Medium! Please be kind...🫣😳 Even though I'm curvy, the bag sits pretty well on my shoulder. ^^ But the two-strap design isn't the most comfortable, that's the point! 😅 Looking at the side view, it doesn't look like the bag is carrying me, right? lol The soft shape + the sturdy base that I love means it doesn't look too bulky. 😉 If the top was also structured, it would have looked clunky. I can wear it on my shoulder with a thin blouse, but even with a short-sleeved top, trying to wear it on my shoulder with tweed is difficult due to the friction and thickness of the tweed, so I wore it on my arm. And of course, I got a sore arm the next day! 💪😂 Lastly, they say there are two points in a woman's life when she suddenly looks older. 🥺 44 and 60...😥😓😩 Probably based on the international age system...😮‍💨 Until my 30s, I wore colorful + white outfits. Around 40, I wore black + white (ivory) outfits. In my mid-40s, black is definitely the best 👍 Let's take care of ourselves even when we're old and wrinkly! 😊😉🫠 Thank you to everyone who reads my boring posts! 🥰
