Left: My Twin ring (recent purchase). Right: My Twin earrings (purchased a year ago) 🤍🩶 I'm practically a Messika ambassador, constantly buying their stuff. (I don't get any benefits from the brand; I'm just a pure fan.) Actually, I keep splurging on jewelry, not just Messika. How do I stop? ;-; I'm selling my bags and buying jewelry instead. I bought the Messika My Twin earrings in Korea last year, and I got the ring this time while traveling in the UK. The UK doesn't offer tax-free shopping, but the holiday jewelry boutiques had huge discounts, so I was there all the time, like a moth to a flame. Hehe... Messika's case with the light is so charming. But the light in the Move Uno ring case I bought a long time ago is dead. Haha. I guess they don't last long. These are my favorite (and soon-to-be favorite) white gold + pavé combinations. I also like vintage-style jewelry with big stones, but small diamond pieces are easier to wear every day. Messika My Twin ring / Unbranded eternity ring Messika My Twin earrings / Chaumet Bee My Love half-pavé Golden Dew bezel diamond earrings (I wear these a lot) / Unbranded And in the far-right compartment are my Messika Gatsby 3-hoop earrings. I even took a picture with the flashlight on for ya. The tones don't quite match, haha, but I'm wearing yellow gold eternity rings on my ring finger and the My Twin ring on my index finger. I probably won't wear them like this, though. I'll either wear the My Twin alone, or wear the Chaumet + eternity rings in a white gold combo on my ring finger, or maybe the Cartier Love ring. The Messika My Twin has a fairly common Toi et Moi design, and I don't always buy branded jewelry. Still, after much deliberation, I ended up buying the Messika. Recently, a used luxury goods store listed a ring that looked exactly like the Messika ring but was unbranded. It tempted me... but I chose Messika, even though it has fewer carats and isn't as cost-effective (lol), because of the setting! Toi et Moi pavé rings inevitably have a lot of prongs holding the diamonds in place, but if the craftsmanship isn't top-notch, the prongs will stick out, and the emerald and pear shapes won't look clean. But I got a big discount at the UK boutique I bought it from (not in London, about 3 hours away in the countryside, though ㅜ), so I bought it happily. Now, onto the earring review! I like ear climber earrings, but usually, ear climbers aren't stud earrings; they're long, curved hook earrings. Tiffany Olive Leaf earrings are a typical example. I don't like the hook style, so I couldn't find ear climbers I liked, but Messika's are all studs, so I bought them because I liked them. (The Messika Gatsby earrings I reviewed in another post are also technically ear climbers. They're also studs, which is great.) The other side has an emerald-cut single piece. It's simple. ✔️ Purchase Date & Visit Date & Place & Price My Twin ring: 2025.07. Bakewell Boutique, UK. The price was £1458 with the boutique manager's deal. At the exchange rate at the time, including card fees, it was about KRW 2,800,000. Customs was KRW 500,000. Total KRW 3,300,000. (Retail price: KRW 5,560,000) However, the boutique I bought it from doesn't just sell Messika; it also sells stock from various brands such as Chopard, Pomellato, Mikimoto, and Marco Bicego. So, the My Twin ring in size 50 that I bought was old stock, so I got it cheap haha. That's why it was manufactured in 2024, and the case is an old Messika case. (They're black these days.) My Twin earrings: 2024.11. Lotte Department Store. They were KRW 5,060,000, but I participated in an event and got KRW 350,000 back in gift certificates. ✔️ Product Review (Please write in detail, including pros and cons.) Pros: When I first saw Messika, the My Twin collection was what I wanted even more than the Move series. I bought a small size, so it's not very majestic, but it's an elegant collection with a touch of girlishness. When you wear it, you feel (at least in your head) like you become cuter. But it's not childish. And since it's diamonds, it's easy to maintain. And Messika has the advantage of having very reasonable prices for pavé models. Cons: It's not very imposing. For a luxury brand, you might be like, "Huh? It's so cute?" But it's not quite an entry-level line like Chaumet's Jeux de Liens... The design might look a little familiar.
