Pros: Absolutely gorgeous. Cons: Ridiculously expensive, lol. <Purchase & Visit Date/Location/Price> Purchase Date: 25.05.29 Location: Shinsegae Daejeon (The Art and Science of Shopping Branch) Price: KRW 17,400,000(?) <Review> I was writing a whole detailed review, but my clumsy fingers couldn't handle the format and I lost the entire thing. Sigh. 🤬 Van Cleef is so popular that the wait times are insane. I lost interest a long time ago because you couldn't even squeeze through the door... But then I randomly saw a chalcedony piece and was mesmerized. I stood outside Van Cleef and asked a salesperson, 'Do you happen to have any chalcedony?' sending my question like a Wi-Fi signal from afar. After getting a 'nope' response, I was like, 'Yeah, I'm not really one for challenges anyway,' and turned around. But then, on my next visit, I saw there was no waitlist and I went in like a woman possessed, lol. They didn't even have a 10-motif chalcedony necklace to try on. The salesperson suggested I try on the mother-of-pearl 10-motif just to get an idea of the fit. Let's just say we both burst out laughing silently. LOL. So, I asked to try on the single-stone chalcedony necklace the salesperson was wearing. I was hooked immediately. The salesperson said they were expecting one piece to arrive in Daejeon this month, so I begged them to contact me as soon as it came in. On the fateful 29th, I rushed over there like lightning. Forget about saving face or anything. The chalcedony stones all have different patterns, but who cares if they aren't perfect? It's not like I had a choice to pick anyway, hahaha. And I can't wait any longer 🫥 They say you can't carve ten stones and expect them all to be perfect. I was like, 'It's okay! Just give it to me! 🤩' My rambling made the salesperson crack up. First, I tried it on with a simple shirt - look no. 1. The gemstone is a blueish hue, so here's a shot with a gray knit sweater - look no. 2. I don't usually wear necklaces over turtlenecks, but I did it for the photo. And over a fluttery dress - look no. 3. They said I can wear this stone with anything and it's even okay to wear it in the shower, which made me even more interested! Five stars!!! Perfect for a lazy person like me!!! The more transparent the chalcedony, the darker it seems. (When placed on the skin, the more transparent ones look duller.) The more opaque it is, the brighter it looks ✨ Regardless of how it looks on the skin, it has this bright, fluorescent light feeling?? Or so they say ㅎㅎ 💙 The downside is the price and the fact that it's so hard to get your hands on... but I'll have to overcome that... 🤣💙
