Well, I've been trying to cut back on shopping lately since I'm practically house poor... But when I heard about the Cartier price increase, I couldn't resist and had to rush over there... Yeah, that's just me... At least I went *before* the price hike, right? Silver linings and all that... I even joked about making money by spending it (like, I 'saved' KRW 10,800,000 by buying it before the increase, hehehe). The store was as sparkly and beautiful as ever. The sales associate kept bringing us lemon cookies and chocolates, bless her heart, because my husband was starving and losing focus, haha. Actually, my original goal for the day was the Love Medium bracelet and the Damour XS necklace and earring set. I already have the original Love bracelet, and as soon as the Medium version came out, I tried it on and it was *perfect* on me! I was sold! But I was in the middle of closing on a house at the time, so I decided to wait until everything was finalized... But then, when I went back today to try it on again, I wondered if it was even the same bracelet I had tried on before. It felt so insignificant and...meh. It just didn't have the same oomph... I don't know why. It's not the bracelet's fault... It's gorgeous when I'm not wearing it! Even the sales associate noticed my vibe and asked, "You don't seem excited? Not really feeling it?" (Yeah, I'm pretty transparent, lol.) But since I was already there, I diligently tried on everything she showed me. The Juste un Clou (nail) bracelet in yellow gold with and without diamonds, and the original Love bracelet in white gold with diamonds...! I've always been a yellow gold person, but the white gold diamond Juste un Clou bracelet had such a bright and bold presence! The sales associate's top recommendation was the ultimate classic combo: the Love original with diamonds + the Juste un Clou with diamonds. I've always wanted the yellow gold diamond Juste un Clou bracelet... But when I tried it on, it just wasn't right on me. Ugh! I see other stylish people rocking it, and it looks so chic and amazing on them! Why does it look so matronly on me? Why meeeeeee? And then, surprise, surprise... The one the sales associate recommended was surprisingly good on me...???? I thought it was a men's bracelet, but... Why are you so pretty and tempting me? The four screws moving around are so cute! I wasn't expecting it at all, but it's really unique and looked great on my wrist, so I was like, "Ooh...?" 🤩🤩 Decided to hold off for a bit. And next up, the massively popular Baignoire bangle...!!! The Mini version only came with a satin strap, and it looked way too tiny on my wrist, so I gently put it back down. Then I tried on the Small bangle, and oh my goodness! It was gorgeous! I see why it's so popular...!!!!!!! But it was already $17,800 + 9% tax...! Way over budget. 🥹🥹 -> Apparently, there's a 15% price increase coming soon in the US. I don't think I can even dream of owning it now... Goodbye, Baignoire...💸 Ultimately, I gave up because it was heavier than I expected... But I'm sure some people like that weightiness! It's undeniably beautiful and luxurious, though... 🥹 So...!!!!!!! What did I end up getting...!!!! Before the unboxing, here's a pic of my fur baby, who was tired of following Mom around shopping! lol I usually don't take the paper bags and extra packaging, but the wax seal is part of the Cartier experience! So I made sure to ask for the full packaging!!!!! It's this one...!!!!!! Actually, I was dead set on getting the Love Medium today, and my next goal was the Juste un Clou with diamonds for stacking. But when I tried them on, the yellow gold diamond version was too much on me, and the non-diamond original was so chic! The sales associate said everyone regrets not getting the diamonds later, but I'm going to stick to my chic look even when I'm 60, haha. And the sales associate even wrote a congratulatory message on the champagne box as a housewarming gift! But I can't stop thinking about the Ecrou bracelet... Should I go back for it...? 🥹🥹 There's a price increase coming to the US on May 14th, and the increase varies from 3-30% depending on the product. The Santos Dumont is expected to increase by 30%, lol. Well, that's my story of being a shopping slave to the price increase today...!
